The Opening and Closing Pergola or Canopy Roof System
The Light ‘n’ Shade system is an opening and closing louvred roof system in polycarbonate or aluminium which can provide natural light and ventilation or shade and weather protection in a matter of seconds in vertical or horizontal applications.
This innovative product enables the building occupier or user to control and enjoy the outside experience to the full. Open the louvres to enjoy sunshine or control the degree of closure to minimise the intensity of the direct light and create shade, for the comfort of all. Close the louvres to protect people and fixtures and fittings such as furniture from showers.
The louvres of the Light ‘n’ Shade System can be adjusted from 0º (the fully closed position) to 90º (the fully open position) by a simple hand held mechanism or by electric motor with or without rain or sun sensors, controlling the level of sunlight-shading and air-ventilation. When the louvres are completely closed they form an interlocking profile that provides protection from sun, rain and wind.
The polycarbonate louvres are available in a variety of colours while the powder coated aluminium louvres are available in any standard RAL colour.
The Light ‘n’ Shade System is designed and pre – manufactured for easy installation. Aluminium support beams are pre-assembled with the opening/closing mechanism already fitted while the polycarbonate or aluminium louvres are simple to fit on site to provide the weather protective outer surface.
